During the years of the Corona pandemic, we were confronted with the completely unfamiliar situation of deserted urban spaces, with the "private" temporarily displacing the usual public life. As the pandemic progressed, public life started again, with restrictions and under new conditions. From 2020 to 2022, Ralf Blum photographically documented the various phases of the pandemic using the example of the urban spaces of Backnang in a diary-like manner. As with the city reading books on the major metropolises, this photo documentation inspired a large number of authors to write texts, some of which were very personal. José FA Oliver was responsible for selecting and compiling the texts. With this volume, a joint work has been created in a time of division.
